Two cats underwent transfrontal craniotomy for the removal of meningioma. The most notable signs of the disease were ataxia, changes in behaviour, central blindness and lethargy. These clinical signs had been observed in the two cats for 3 and 5 months before surgery. Large solitary mass lesions were found in the hemispheres by magnetic resonance imaging. Owing of the large size of the tumors, transfrontal craniotomy was performed in both animals. No complications related to the transfrontal surgical approach were observed during the postoperative period. Neurological deficits subsided after 2 weeks in one cat and after 2 months in the other. After a one-year follow-up there were no neurological abnormalities in the cats’ behavior.
