Influence of heavy metal (zinc) and content of organic matter in soil on degradation rate of herbicide (pendimethalin) were tested in greenhouse conditions. Based on the type of soil it was modified through changes in content of organic matter, pH and zinc content. To prepared soil samples was added pendimethalin. 90 days after herbicide application residues of pendimethalin were determined using gas chromatography with ECD detector. High concentration of zinc and organic matter influenced increase of pendimethalin degradation rate.
