The main goal of this research was to present conditions of honey consumption in households. The research was conducted in 2006 among consumers representing their households. The research showed, that honey consumption is motivated with its nutritious and gustatory advantages and also curative properties. Almost all respondents are declaring eating honey in the period of illness. It is possible to state that honey is being treated as the quite special food remedy. In the majority of households one-year consumption does not exceed 2 kg. Consumers are reaching for it a few times in the month. Eating honey is growing in the autumn-winter period and decreasing in the summer. However a part of examined respondents is declaring permanent eating irrespective of the season.
