Используя проведенные до сих пор исследования последствий разрушения среды а тоже принятые методы и оценки проведено попытку оценки экологических потерей Польши и краковского воеводства в 1985 году. Они касались потерей в сельском хозяйстве, лесном хозяйстве, водной экономике из-за коррозии, нерациональной эксплуатации и использования сырья а тоже вследствие ухудшения здоровья жителей. Вычислено, что экологические потери Польши соответствуют 25% национального дохода.

Making use of the investigations carried out up to the present time on the effects of the environmental degradation and of the methods accepted to fix their price, the authors attempted to evaluate ecological losses in Poland and in the Kraków province in the year 1985. These losses concerned agriculture, forestry and water management caused by corrosion, irrational exploitation and making use of raw materials and were the result of deterioration of the inhabitants' health. It has been calculated that the ecological losses of Poland correspond to 26 per cent of the national income.
