This paper presents a results of an observations concerning the distribution of 5 rare and endangered species from the family Acrididae, in central part of Sandomierz Basin. Observations were conducted during summer and autumn, 2020. Field works were carried in 54 sites (16 UTM squares; 10 × 10 km). The most widespread species in the area of the observations were Oedipoda caerulescens, Stethophyma grossum and Calliptamus italicus, respectively. Sphingonotus caerulans was detected in four sites and the presence of Aiolopus thalassinus was noticed only in three sites. The results of the observations, shows that the central part of the Sandomierz Basin is an important area for species associated with psammophilous grasslands, as well as for S. grossum, which prefers moist habitats.
