Abstrakty

The genus Parabisaccanthes Maksimova, 1963, has been revided; the authors believe that the typical species P. cygni Maksimova is identical with Hymenolepis philactes Schiller, 1951, as indicated by identical descriptions of Schiller and Maksimova and comparison of these tapeworms of Cygnus olor Gm. from Poland, C. bewicki from Lena Delta and Maksimova's collection. The species should be termed P. philactes (Schiller, 1951) n. comb. The authors maintain the species P. bisacculina (Szpotańska, 1931), in the genus Parabisaccanthes but they propose that the species Parabisaccanthes kazachstanica Maksimova, 1963, be excluded from it, as the latter possesses 10 snout hooks. The proposed correction to the diagnosis of Parabisaccanthes Maksimova, 1963, reads: ,,snout hooks 8, Fuhrmann's body exterior, doubled; genus type: P. philactes (Schiller, 1951) n . comb.".
