Produkcja rolnicza, ze względu na specyficzne cechy czynnika ziemi, charakteryzuje się ciągłymi wahaniami cen o charakterze cyklicznym, sezonowym i/lub przypadkowym. Wymaga to opracowania specjalnych instrumentów łagodzących negatywne skutki fluktuacji, zarówno na poziomie gospodarstw rolnych, jak i instytucji państwowych. Zaprezentowano narzędzia zarządzania ryzykiem cenowym w produkcji rolniczej na przykładzie wybranych krajów. Skupiono się na działaniach rządu w zakresie opracowania programów zarządzania ryzykiem, w tym w szczególności na tworzeniu programów ubezpieczeniowych.

Agricultural production, due to the specific features of the land factor, is characterized by continuous fluctuations in prices of cyclical, seasonal and/or accidental type. This requires the development of special instruments that mitigate the negative effects of fluctuations, both at the farm level and state institutions. The paper presents the price risk management tools in used in agricultural production from selected countries. The focus is on government efforts to develop risk management programs, including in particular, the establishment of insurance schemes. Due to the volume of publication The paper does not include the discusison of the coordinated systems of agricultural production (various farm cooperation forms) and commodity futures contracts due to the large number of pubications in both areas. The paper includes a review of Polish and English literature, with elements of deductive reasoning
