During 2 years of field nutrition experiments, using loamy brown soil, the effect of the foliar application of manganese, boron as well as the stimulating effect of sodium humate on the potato yield and nitrate content (potato variety Sant×) was investigated. The action of microelements (Mn, B) showed an increase by 11,7 to 15,7% in the potato yield and nitrate content (potato variety Sant×) without having any significant effect on the nitrate content in potato tubers. The joint application of microelements (Mn, B) together with sodium humate increased the potato yield by 17,8 to 23,6% with increasing the nitrate content by 26,6 to 33,8% in potato tubers. The economic efficiency of the nutrition applied was very positive.
