Over 400 new records of Cerylonidae from Poland are reported in the present paper. The voucher specimen which served to report Cerylon bescidicum from Poland was reexamined and identified as C. ferrugineum. Cerylon bescidicum should be therefore excluded from the list of beetles of Poland. Most members of the genus Cerylon are common in Poland. Cerylon histeroides and C. ferrugineum belong to the most common subcortical beetles. Cerylon impressum is a rare species, associated with Scots pine, newly recorded in the Baltic Coast. Cerylon deplanatum is recorded in Podlasie for the first time, and C. histeroides in Sandomierz Lowland. Cerylon fagi has surprisingly few published records in Poland. It is reported for the first time in Pomeranian Lake District, Mazovian Lowland, Podlasie, Kraków-Wieluń Upland, Małopolska Upland, Lublin Upland and Eastern Sudeten Mts. Philothermus evanescens is a very rare species in Poland, restricted to well preserved forests, with numerous records in Białowieża Primeval Forest. Authors of the Catalogue of Polish Fauna erroneously recorded P. evanescens from two localities in NW Poland (Słubice and Głębokie).
