Мероприятия по защите разнятся своей специфичностью от других затрат в сельскохозяйственной продукции; они заключаются в первую очередь в различном механизме воздействия на урожай, тогда как у основ расчета стоимостей приняты те же теоретическо-методические основы, которые действительны в экономике сельского хозяйства. Знакомство величины стоимостей защитных мероприятий необходимо для обеспечения следующих целей: - Стоимости составляют одну из двух групп факторов обусловливающих в конечном счете экономическую эффективность защитных мероприятий. Анализ эффектов деятельности человека всегда создает необходимость анализа стоимости этой деятельности. - Знакомство величины стоимости необходимо также при принятии решения относительно целесообразности проведения мероприятий. - Знакомство величины себестоимости и ее анализ необходимы для оценки рациональности хозяйствовании рабочей силой и используемыми средствами производства. - Мобилизация стимулов более интенсивного применения особенно важных экономически защитных мероприятий требует знакомства величины их стоимостей.

Protection measures differ with their specificity from other expenditures in the agricultural production, the difference consisting mainly in different mechanism of the effect on yield, whereas the calculation of costs in based on the same theoretico-methodical principles, which are valid in the agricultural economics. The knowledge of the height of costs of plant protection measures is required for the following basic aims: - costs constitute one of 2 groups of factors responsible in the final effect for the economic efficiency of protection measures. The analysis of human activity results suggest always the need to analyze the costs of this activity; - the knowledge of the height of costs is required in taking decision as far as purposefulness of the respective measures is concerned; - the knowledge of the height of own costs and their analysis is required for estimation of rationality of management of labour and used production means; - mobilization of structure favouring more intensive application of economically important protection measures requires the knowledge of the height of their costs.
