EN

The Nitrogen Plant (Zakłady Azotowe) has a well developed system of the sewage treatment. However, slow progress has been made in the field of air protection. Therefore, the environment of the Plant has been polluted by dusts and the heavy metals contained in these dusts. As it results from the investigations, cultivated plants in the, so-called, protective zone are contaminated (mainly by lead and cadmium) so that further cultivation of vegetables should be stopped there. The authors suggest a change in the structure of cultivation and crops. At the same time farmers should be paid for the damages.

Азотный Завод в Тарнове располагает относительно хорошо развитой системой очистных станций. Зато небольшой прогресс наступил в охране воздуха. Вследствие этого среда вокруг Завода загрязнена пылью и тяжёлыми металлами. С исследований вытекает, что выращиваемые растения в так называемой предохранительной зоне заражены главным образом свинцом и кадмием. Потому надо прекратить выращивать там овощи. Авторы предлагают изменение структуры культур и севов с одновременным присуждением земледельцам компенсаций.
