The majority of the above-presented representatives of the subfamily Prioninae, former Necydalinae (currently Lepturinae: Necydali), and Spondylidinae constitute species widely distributed in Poland. In Polish commercial forests, a part of them can be considered as timber pests. Among the presented specimens, the occurrence of the following species rarely observed from the Greater Poland region are worthy of mentioning: Arhopalus ferus (M ULS.), Tetropium castaneum (L.), T. fuscum (F.), and T. gabrieli WEISE. Necydalis major (L.). Furthermore, special attention deserves Necydalis major (L.). Not only is it the only species out of the above-mentioned group of species that is associated with the wood of deciduous trees, but it is also a rarely observed representative of the genus Necydalis in Western Poland.
