The small intestine of mice with strong T. spiralis infection was examined at various times after the infection. The determinations were concerned with the content of nucleinic acids, glycogen, mucopolysaccharides, lipids and fatty acids, as well as with the activity and distribution of acid and alcaline phosphatase, succinic acid dehydrogenase, cytochrome oxydase and gamma-glutamyl-peptidase. The determinations were also made in the isolated intestinal T. spiralis.
