Intracutaneous tests with Trichinella antigen were carried out in 165 persons. Each of the persons under examination with established diagnosis received intracutaneously on the anterior surface of the arm 0.1 ml of Trichinella antigen at the dilution of 1:5000 and below it 0.1 ml of physiologic saline solution, 0.1 ml of the antigen at the dilution of 1:10000 being injected into the other arm. The reactions were read after 15, 30, 60 minutes and 18-24 hours. Persons infected with various kinds of intestinal parasites showed positive results in 3 cases, out of 98: in 49 infected with T. spiralis a positive reaction occurred in 41 cases, in 8 persons with non-parasitic intestinal diseases in 10 cases, negative results being obtained in healthy subjects.
