Effect of breeding system on histomorphological structure of the reproductive system in gilts

EN

Large, intensive system of swine breeding delays the development of the following morphological structures of the reproductive system in gilts: the endometrium and myometrium of the uterine corn, the uterine glands, the epithelium and the mucosa of the uterine cervix and the mucosa of the vagina. Histomorphological changes in the edometrium in course of individual phases of the oestrum cycle in gilts bred in large farms are expressed less distinctly than those in gilts raised in traditional system.
