This article presents new records of the occurence of Protaetia speciosissima in the Eastern Beskids, Poland. The species belongs to the Scarabaeoidea family, Cetoniinae subfamily and Cetonischema genus. This beetle is endangered and partially protected in Poland. It lives in deciduous forests with old trees and sunny clearings. During the study it was established that larvae feed on rotten wood in tree hollows, mainly of the Fagus sylvatica beeches. The author describes three sites where the insect and its larvae, pupae and adults were observed.
