Niniejsza praca prezentuje nowe stanowisko obuwika pospolitego w okolicach Jędrzejowa, w niewielkim śródpolnym kompleksie leśnym w granicach obszaru Natura 2000 „Ostoja Gaj” PLH 260027

Cypripedium calceolus L. is a threatened species in Poland. It is included on the Polish “Red List” and in the “Red Book”, as well as on many regional lists. It is also listed in Annex II of the Habitat Directive from 1992 (92/43/EWG). The Małopolska Upland is one of the main areas in Poland where the species occurs. The new location has been discovered in 2008 near the village of Łysaków in the Jędrzejów Plateau, which is located in the Nida Basin. The site is located 3.5 km S from Jędrzejów (ATPOL EF02). The population of C. calceolus is relatively small and consists of about 20 shoots. The species is threatened mainly because of the habitat changes (secondary succession). Therefore, active protection is necessary in order to preserve the species.
