Rabbits were given orally in feed mercury chloride, phenylmercury acetate and methylmercury chloride in a dose of 0.23 mg Hg/kg b.w./day for three weeks. Determinations of total mercury and methylmercury compounds were performed in hair, liver, kidneys and muscles. Methylmercury compounds were found only in tissues of rabbits receiving methylmercury chloride. The highest total mercury concentrations were registered in the group receiving phenylmercury acetate.
