In introduction the author produces reasons for the latest increase of interests in biological methods of control. As the main reason he considers the specific crisis of chemical methods and progress a chieved in biocenology, bacteriology and insects pathology. The author discusses in detail the achievements and perspectives in the field of utilization of bacteria and nematodes. Both trends are promising. His main hopes are linked to methods carrying pathogenic bacteria. The author suggests that some species of the family Diplogasteridae may serve as vectors of such bacteria.
