The author investigated the activity of peptidases liberated by liver cells which suffered severe lesions, they made at the same time other diagnostic tests, sueh as: brom-sulfophtalic test, determination of the general protein level and evaluation of the percentagc of its fractions, as well as the Takata-Ara reaction test in 24 dogs. Above dogs were divided into threc groups: young healthy dogs, old healthy ones and dogs poisoned with the parasiticide preparation - CCl₄. The peptidases activity, expressed by the augmentation of the nitrogen remainder (RN) in young healthy dogs averages 40.70 mg. per cent, in old healthy dogs - 44.38 mg. per cent. In poisoned dogs this augmentation is much higher and amounts to 61.60 mg. per cent.
