Badania wykonano w latach 2006–2011 w Nienadówce koło Sokołowa Małopolskiego (południowo-wschodnia Polska). Pierwsze wyloty motyli omacnicy prosowianki (Ostrinia nubilalis Hbn.) z resztek pożniwnych kukurydzy rozpoczynały się w pierwszej lub drugiej dekadzie czerwca. Maksimum wylotu osobników dorosłych z poczwarek przypadało w trzeciej dekadzie czerwca lub w pierwszej dekadzie lipca. Wyloty imago kończyły się w drugiej lub trzeciej dekadzie lipca. Jako pierwsze wylatywały z poczwarek zwykle samce, natomiast samice pojawiały się kilka dni później. Samice były zwykle płcią dominującą.

The research was conducted in 2006–2011 in Nienadówka near Sokołów Małopolski (south-east Poland). First flights of European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis Hbn.) moths from postharvest maize residues started in the first week or the middle of June. The peak in adult flights from pupae was recorded in the end of June or in the first week of July. Imago flights were finished in the middle or at the end of July. Usually males were first to emerge from pupae, while females appeared a few days later. Female individuals usually prevailed sex in the pest population.
