In 2012, the Cabinet of Cartographic Collections of the University of Warsaw Library (BUW) received a gift of thirty-three cartographic atlases issued during the sixteenth and the eighteenth centuries. Donor was the Library of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw. Despite the defects of some copies, the atlases have great value to BUW. Offered works are signed with the nam es of prominent European cartographers, and on their title pages and colophons appear addresses of the best publishing houses.
