Phosphoro-organic compounds were used in 1957-1966 to combat the larvae of ox warbles. The studies were performed with the Polish compound "Dermaphos" which proved to be efficient in 93.1%, the value being almost equal to that obtained with foreign preparations. Moreover, it has been found that phosphoro-compounds administered exteriorly by "pour on" method are Less active than when rubbed into the animal skin by means of a soft brush for 2-3 minutes. The results obtained imply that with exterior application the greatest efficacy was shown by "Ruelene" (Byk-gulden) and with parenteral use - by 50% Neguvon (Bayer). In the geoclimatic conditions of Warsaw region, the phosphoro-organic compounds should be used in autumn (until the middle of January) and in spring (from the middle of April).
