Wood and wood based materials rather easy affected by thermo-destruction are classified, according to the non-combustibility test VPN-EN ISO \18X\, to be flammable material. Taking into account the Tate of combustibility they can be divided \PN-%'B-02&74V into non-flammable materials (\ rate of combustibility), difficulty flammable (11 rate of combustibility) and highly flammable (111 rate of combustibility) and as i.e. floor coverings [PN-96/B-02854] as highly and difficulty flammable products. Substantial element of hazard evaluation connected with using flammable materials is toxicity of the thermodestruction products and of the burning products [PN-88/B-02855]. Main element of just introduced in EC system new fire classification for building goods and floor materials is reaction to fire determined according to the indication PN-EN 13501-1 mentioning test methods of pointing particular indicators. The aim of the performance was clarification setting for wood and wood based materials in respect of the rate of combustibility according to PN-96/B-02874, ignitibility according to PN-96/B-02854 and toxicity according to PN-88/B-02855. The tests were conducted on hard glued wood (woodworking board type) and wood based materials such as fibreboard, particle board, plywood finished and unfinished with lacquer, laminate or surface protective. The rate of combustibility, ignitibility and toxicity of particular materials has been determined. The attempt of presenting determined features with classification according to reaction to fire established by European rules has been presented.

Ustalono stopnie palności, zapalności i toksyczności pożarowej poszczególnych materiałów. Przedstawiono próbę odniesienia oznaczonych właściwości do klasyfikacji według reakcji na ogień ustalanej w normie europejskiej.
