Drypta dentata (P. ROSSI, 1790) is Western Palearctic representative of the Carabidae family. In our country it is a relatively rare species, included to the "Red list of threatened animals in Poland" with the LC category. In Poland the species occurs in the southern and south-eastern part of the country, however, knowledge of its distribution is largely based on old and historical data. The aim of the paper is to present the current data of the occurrence of D. dentata in our country. The new data collected in 1995 – 2020 includes 17 new sites, where the species was found. Part of the new localisations is located within the already known mesoregionas – the Rzeszów Foreland, the Przemyśl Foothills, the Dynów Foothills and the Rożnów Foothills. In the mesoregions of the Kolbuszowa Plateau, the Chyrów Plateau, the Strzyżów Foothills, the Small Beskid Mts. and the Middle Roztocze the species was revealed for the first time. The new data confirm a very wide range of habitats in which D. dentata lives – from heavily transformed by man farmlands and backyard gardens to habitats close to natural. Therefore, the species in Poland currently seems to be not endangered.
