In 34 patients with the clinical diagnosis of trichinellosis of the whole protein concentration in the serum were made by refractometric method, and of protein fractions by paper electrophoresis with parallel examination of the whole protein concentration in „the bone marrow punctate". In 55 cases, because of the grave clinical state or refusal of bone marrow punctate, only electrophoretic examinations were performed. The preliminary analysis revealed mostly the presence of hypoproteinemia of serum proteins, hypoalbuminemia with parallel tendency to the increase in alfa1 -, alfa2- and gamma-globulins, the greatest hyperglobulinemia being recorded within gamma-globulins. On the other hand, the bone marrow punctate showed, as compared with serum, a decreasing tendency of w hole protein concentration and alfa1 -globulin fraction (in about 50% of cases); an increasing tendency was observed within albumin alfa2 and beta-globulin fractions.
