Diacycline was found to have a weaker action than sulphametoxydiazine, whereas the combination of both drugs - even at high doses - was less effective when spiramycine and sulphametoxydiazine were administered concurrently. On the other hand, the combination of ascorbic acid with tetracycline potentiated its effect, though its curative action was inferior to that of spiramycine- sulphametoxydiazine therapy.
