This report includes 309 records from 2020, as well as 21 earlier ones, concerning 84 species and subspecies. One new species for Poland have been recorded: the Savannah Sparrow Passerculus sandwichensis and one new subspecies – “the Ashy-headed Yellow Wagtail” Motacilla flava cinereocapilla. Other highlights of the year were: the second record of the Audouin’s Gull Ichthyaetus audouinii, the second and third records of the Blyth’s Pipit Anthus godlewskii, the third records of the Siberian Stonechat Saxicola maurus and “Siberian Nuthatch” Sitta europaea asiatica, the third and fourth of the Lesser Yellowlegs Tringa flavipes, the fourth records of the Long-billed Dowitcher Limnodromus scolopaceus, Hume’s Warbler Phylloscopus humei, Isabelline Wheatear Oenanthe isabellina, Moustached Warbler Acrocephalus melanopogon and Black-headed Bunting Emberiza melanocephala, the fifth to eight records of the Pallid Swift Apus pallidus, the fifth record of the Yellow-breasted Bunting Emberiza aureola, the sixth records of the Green-winged Teal Anas carolinensis and Booted Warbler Iduna caligata, the seventh and eight records of the Black-winged Kite Elanus caeruleus, as well as the eight record of the Paddyfield Warbler Acrocephalus agricola, Noteworthy are the high numbers of the Northern Gannet Morus bassanus (26 records), Sociable Plover Vanellus gregarius (7), Squacco Heron Ardeola ralloides (12), Pallas’s Gull Ichthyaetus ichthyaetus (23), Pygmy Cormorant Microcarbo pygmeus (11), Dusky Warbler Phylloscopus fuscatus (16), “Siberian Chiffchaff” P. collybita tristis (19) and Rose-coloured Starling Pastor roseus (16). “The Black-headed Wagtail” Motacilla flava feldegg and “Pied Wagtail” M. alba yarrellii bred for the first time, as well as the Hen Harrier Circus cyanus bred for the first time in 21st century. After revision the Black-eared Wheatear Oenanthe hispanica has been rejected from the national checklist. Present number of species on the Polish checklist is 462. Records of each species are first presented regionally in alphabetic order of the provinces, afterwards chronologically; they contain: date, number of individuals, sex and age (if known), documentation if present (photo, phono, video, specimen, etc.), location, district, and in brackets names up to three observers, further brief comments and references in some cases. The number codes following the species name mean: the first one – number of records slash number of individuals till 2017 inclusive, the second one – number of records slash number of individuals in 2018; “ca” means approximate number of records or individuals, “n” instead of a number – unknown number of those. The report includes an appendix (Aneks) containing records not accepted, and a list of revisions, i.e. reconsidered records. The following terms and abbreviations are used: os. = individual/individuals, para/pary = pair/pairs, para lęgowa = breeding pair, para z gniazdem = pair with nest, lęg = brood, lęg mieszany = mixed brood, karmiący = feeding, gn. pewne = breeding confirmed, schwytany = caught, martwy = dead, r.kal. = calendar year, lato = summer, zima = winter.
