The studies were carried out on sows of Large-White- -Polish breed divided into 2 groups: group I comprised 35 sows which were being given Wisol-T during the first period of pregnancy at a dose of 15 g and later — at a dose of 30 g; group II — 10 sows served as control animals. In the group I the disturbances in lactation called Coliform mastitis were found in 32% of animals and in the control group — 60%. Piglets originating from the sows which had been given Wisol-T were more vigorous, less often got diarrhoea, losses were reduced at b% and body weight gains were higher compared with those of the control piglets.
