The study was undertaken to determine the efficacy of various kinds of the garlic biopesticide Bioczos (Bioczos Standard, Bioczos Grzybobójczy (Fungicidal), Bioczos Owadobójczy (Insecticidal) in controlling grey mould (Botrytis cinerea) on strawberry cultivar Filon. For comparative purposes, grey mould was controlled with the synthetic fungicide Switch 62,5 WG, routinely applied to protect strawberries. The level of non-marketable yield expressed as a percentage of the total yield was used to measure the efficacy of the biopesticides. Also, the total number of value strawberry fruit bud as well as number of strawberry fruit bud infected by grey mould were determined. Additionally, the weight of one berry was measured and the extract content was determined. It was found that garlic biopesticides did not have a negative influence on pollinating insects, which resulted in a similar berry formation in all the experimental treatments. Of the biopesticides examined, Bioczos Grzybobójczy (Fungicidal) was the most effective, and its average efficacy was comparable to the efficacy of the routinely applied fungicide Switch 62,5 WG. On the contrary, the efficacy of biopesticide Bioczos Owadobójczy (Insecticidal) was very low, and the number of strawberry fruit buds and berries infected by grey mould was comparable to the untreated control object. Moreover, it was found that garlic biopesticides did not negatively influence the qualitative characteristics of strawberry examined in the study.
