A new technique (digestion after Jacobs) for isolation of Toxoplasma from experimentally infected hens was compared with the routine method. The experiments, performed in two series, have shown that the chance of obtaining positive results is greater with digestion method. The superiority of the method apparently consists in the fact that larger amounts of the examined specimen are being used. As a result of digestion process there is condensation of Toxoplasma, which in turn increases the possibility of isolation.
