The influence of white mustard, scorpion weed, blue lupine, and oil radish intercrops on sugar beet nematode population was tested on the field with two-year crop rotation in Koniczynka, kujawsko-pomorskie district in 2007–2010. The highest reduction of the nematode population was achieved after the oil radish intercrops. The reduction was 15% in comparison to the control. The influence of intercrops on the nematode population density was significantly limited by weather conditions during the experimental years. Intercrops had no influence on the root and sugar yield because of a low number of nematodes in the soil.
