Humoral response to recombinant human growth hormones administered to rabbits alone and in combination with Stabileze 06

The effects of intramuscular immunisation of rabbits with recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) combined with Stabileze 06 (methylvinylether/maleic anhydride copolymer crosslinked with 1,9-decadiene) or alone was investigated. Specific IgG and IgA antibodies in serum were examined by an ELISA. High titres of IgG antibodies against rhGH were recorded in the animals administered with the hormone in combination with Stabileze 06. The present results show that a formulation containing entrapped recombinant protein in viscous semi-stable emulsion Stabileze 06 may increase an immune response in rabbits.
