The first issue of this monthly was published in June 1883, and the last one in November in the same year. This proprietor of this magazine was Towarzystwo Tatrzańskie from Kolomyja, East Galicia. Articles published in „Turysta” concerned mainly excursions and travels; there were scientific articles concerning geography, geology, ethnography, botanics and similar; information about Towarzystwo Tatrzańskie from Cracow, Lvov and Kolomyja. In the last periodical the short articles about tourism from Poland and another countries were published. The majority of information concerned Towarzystwo Tatrzańskie from Kolomyja and tourism in this city and neighbourhood. There were some information about ethnographic group of mountaineers from the Eastern Carpatians.
