W porównaniu z tymi obiektami więcej potasu zawierała kukurydza nawożona osadami z dodatkiem słomy i trocin, a mniej po wprowadzeniu mieszanin z CaO.

In a three year experiment the influence of fertilization with fresh and composted sewage sludge with the addition of CaO, brown-coal ash, straw and sawdust on the contents of K, Na, Ca and Mg as well as weight relations of one- and bivalent chemical elements in the tested plants were investigated. The content of calcium in the maize biomass fertilized with sewage sludge only as well as its mixture with straw and sawdust was similar while more calcium was observed in plants fertilized with sewage sludge with the addition of ash and CaO. The content of magnesium and sodium in maize did not significantly depend on the type of the additive used with sewage sludge. The amount of potassium in the plant material collected from objects fertilized with sewage sludge only and with the mixtures of sewage sludge and ash was similar. As compared to those objects, maize fertilized with sewage sludge with the addition of straw and sawdust contained more potassium, than after the introduction of the mixtures with CaO. The content of calcium and magnesium in the maize fertilized with fresh and composted sewage sludge was similar. The amount of potassium found in plants cultivated in objects fertilized with composted sewage sludge was higher than after using it in the fresh form, however, in the case of sodium there dependencies were reversed. The values of the rations (Na + K) : (Ca + Mg) in maize were the highest in the case of objects fertilized with sewage sludge with the addition of straw and sawdust, lower in the case of fertilization with sewagw sludge without additives and the mixture with ash and the lowest after introducing sewage sludge with CaO.
