Prolactistes australis gen. and sp.nov. from Australia, with remarks on its systematic position within the family [Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae]

Prolactistes australis gen. and sp. nov. are described from the Australian continent (Northern Territory and Queensland). This new endemic genus is closely related to Lactistes Schiødte, 1848; its systematic position within the family is briefly discussed.
