Opracowano elektroforetyczne metody oznaczania i określono stopień pozostałości leków przeciwbakteryjnych w tkankach jadalnych zwierząt. Przeprowadzone badania dotyczyły: amoksycyliny, doksycykliny, streptomycyny, tiamfenikolu, florfenikolu, enrofloksacyny, ciprofloksacyny i norfloksacyny.

Antibacterial agents are extensively applied in veterinary medicine for the treatment of various bacterial infections. Because of their use in food producing animals, the risk of occurrence of unwanted residues in edible products exists. To ensure human food safety, The European Union has defined maximum residue limits (MRLs) for veterinary drug residues in food products. The Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) method has been developed for the determination of residues of antimicrobial agents in animal (poultry and porcine) tissues (eggs, muscles, kidney, liver, skin with fat). Recently, we have successfully applied this technique to determination of amoxicillin, doxycyclin, streptomycin, thiamphenicol, florphenicol, enrofloxacin and norfloxacin. Contrary to chromatographic techniques, determination of these substances using capillary electrophoresis is quite simple, sensitive and reproducible, allowing to process simultaneously numerous samples in a short period of time. All described analyses were performed on a Beckman P/ACE 2100 electrophoresis apparatus, equipped with unmodified silica capillary, UV detector and Beckman System Gold software for data acquisition. Results has been used to determinate of the residues levels. The present method is capable of identifying antimicrobial agents residues in tissues at levels below 20 µg/kg. It allows to calculated which is required for withdrawal period of veterinary drugs.
