The effect of a big dose of lithium on 5 oats cultivars, 4 maize cvs. and 3 spinach cvs. was investigated in pot experiments. Lithium (dosed 25 mg kgˉ¹ soil) decreased oats top yield, depending on a cultivar, between 54 and 23% as compared to the control. Maize yield declined under the influence of lithium (dosed 40 mg kgˉ¹ soil) by 44-14%, and yield of spinach was lower by 22-15%.
