This article presents a case of adrenocortical carcinoma found in a 12-year-old mixed-breed dog. Clinical examination, radiography and ultrasonography were used to define the extent and location of the neoplastic mass. Microscopic features of the adrenocortical carcinoma included mitotic figures (sometimes atypical), a pseudopalisade or glomerular pattern of proliferation formed in tubular or longitudinal neoplastic structures and necrosis. The carcinoma cells had poorly stained or granular eosynophilic cytoplasms and hyperchromatic roundish nuclei. The neoplasm sent metastases to the left kidney, muscle, lumbo-sacral spinal vertebra, lymph nodes, mammary glands and uterus.
