Przedstawiono model do obliczania wartości porowatości gleby w funkcji wywieranego nacisku. Opracowano zależności regresyjne do wyznaczania współczynników modelu w oparciu o parametry charakteryzujące gatunek gleby, jej stan początkowy i warunki w jakich proces ugniatania przebiega.

The paper presents an attempt to identify functional dependence for determining a course of changes in general porosity of uniaxially loaded soil sample in the function of the exerted unit pressure. On the basis of laboratory examinations performed on samples formed from 4 varieties of soils, it has been found out that this dependence can be imitated, in the examined range of unit pressure changes, with a logarithmic function. The influence of a set of independent variables which characterize the deformed soil material and conditions in which the process of deformation occurs, on the value of the coefficints of this function was examined with the method of multiple regression analysis. The worked out regression models allow to determine coefficient values on the basis of the few parameters, not used so for as variables, and which in the majority of experiments appear as constant parameters, namely: initial porosity, dimensions of samples, indices describing soil texture, deformation velocity.
