Borowik szlachetny nagromadzał (BCF > 1) w owocnikach K, Mg, Zn, Cu, Cd i Hg, a wykluczał (BCF < 1) Na, Ca, Fe, Mn, Al, Ba i Sr.

Al, Ba, Ca, Cd, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, Sr, Zn and Hg have been quantified in King Bolete (Boletus edulous) and the surface layer of soil collected from the Swietokrzyska forest in 2000. The method of measurement was ICP-AES after wet digestion of the mushrooms with nitric acid in closed Teflon vessels in microwave oven and wet leaching of soil with nitric acid in open quartz vessels. The King Bolete accumulated (BCF > 1) in the fruiting bodies K, Mg, Zn, Cu, Cd and Hg, and excluded (BCF < 1) Na, Ca, Fe, Mn, Al, Ba and Sr.
