The conference for fresh fruit and vegetable producers, organised by Central Standardisation Inspectorate, had the place in May2001 in Warsaw. There were discussed the conditions of the adjustment of polish fresh fruit and vegetable market to the EU market with his standards and market instruments. Its necessary to enlarge the competitiveness of Polish horticulture mainly by: economic growth, reduction of unemployment, development of ecological agriculture and growth of education level on rural terrain. The very important matter is to create the integrated system of market information. ЕСЕ, OECD and Codex Alimentarius Committee are the institutions taking the part in norm creating processes.
