The possible use of natural compounds as potential pesticides to control harmful insects and other pathogens is presented. Insecticidal properties of ethereal oils, decoctions and extracts from: white mustard, horse-radish, lupine, St. Johns-wort, sweet flag rhizomes, garlic and onion husks are discussed. Extracts, essences or ethereal oils isolated from insecticidal plants can be used against pathogens and pests. If the good results of the first experiment is not found, the next experiment should be conducted after 5-7 days. The means are not harmful to people and because of natural environment protection it is necessary to carry out studies on the use of insecticidal plants for controlling insects and pathogens on plants.
