The compatilibity of the results of analytical Ca, P, Mg, Zn, Cu, Cr, Pb and Cd determinations in total daily food rations of children aged 1-3 and 4-6 years with the respective theoretical values has been compared. 36 total daily food rations were analysed. Due to a considerable scatter of the individual values, the median was assumed to be the value characterising the content of the particular elements in the diet. The following deviations of the medians obtained by the analytical determinations from the theoretical calculated values were received: 36.0% Ca, 16.7% P, 13.2% Mg, 35.4% Zn, 7.6% eu, 53.0% Cr, 10.5% Pb and 30.2% Cd. Using the calculated Spearman correlation coefficients, significant correlations between the content of the elements in the individual daily food rations were found only for P (r =0.6649, p = 0.0001), Mg (r = 0.4075, p = 0.0159) and Ca (r =0.3727, p = 0.0275).
