Część badań przeprowadzono w celu wykazania przydatności metody kalorymetrycznej do określenia wpływu substancji kseno- biotycznych, fosfogipsu i fluorku sodowego na proces rozkładu glukozy. Badano rozkład skrobi w glebie. Wyznaczono termokinetykę procesu rozkładu gnojowicy w glebie. Termokinetyczna analiza początkowego okresu badanych procesów umożliwiła scharakteryzawanie kinetyki i bioenergetyki rozkładu substancji organicznych w glebie. Uzyskane wyniki badań kalorymetrycznych wykazały dużą zbieżność z porównawczymi wynikami badań respirometrycznych.

The aim of the studies was to determine and characterize the thermokinetics of decomposition of some organic substances in soil. Glucose, starch and organic fertilizers such as pig liquid manure and cattle liquid manure were examined. The experiments were conducted during the initial 2+lO day period of the decomposition. The time of this period was related to the type of organic substances used in the studies. The thermokinetics was determined on the basis of the calorimetric measurements carried out by means of the high volume calorimeter KRM. Comparative respirometric measurements were done with a modified Greenwood's and Lees's respirometer. Calorimetric measurements allowed to determine the plots of changes for heat production rate (Qh) and the total heat production (QT), rate constants (k) and activation energy (Ea) of the examined processes. The changes of the oxygen consumption rate (Vh) and the total oxygen consumption (VT) were determined in the examinated processes using the respirometer. Glucose decomposition was studied in three types of soil. The effect of some nitrogen fertilizers and additionally, of the nitrification inhibitor ( N-Serve) on the course of glucose biodegradation was determined. The effect of the differentiated, initial composition of gas phase in a calorimetric vessel on the course of glucose decomposition in soil was also studied. Some studies were carried out to show the usefulness of the calorimetric method for the evaluation of the effect of xenobiotics, phosphogypsum and sodium fluoride on glucose decomposition in soil. Starch decomposition in soil was also studied. The thermokinetics of liquid manure decomposition in soil was examined. The thermokinetic analysis of the initial period of the studied processes allowed to characterize the kinetics and bioenergetics of organic substances decomposition in soil. The obtained resultes of calorimetric studies showed a big correlation with the comparative results of the respirometric studies.
