Oceniono sposób żywienia 50-letnich mieszkańców Wrocławia. Ogółem przebadano 850 osób, w tym 502 kobiety i 348 mężczyzn. Średnie całodzienne racje pokarmowe zarówno kobiet jak i mężczyzn charakteryzowały się zbyt wysoką wartością współczynnika aterogenności Keysa. Stwierdzono niewystarczającą podaż błonnika, jedno- i wielonienasyconych kwasów tłuszczowych oraz nadmierne spożycie nasyconych kwasów tłuszczowych i zbyt duży udział energii z tłuszczów w dietach obu badanych płci.

The dietary intake of 50-year-old inhabitants of Wroclaw were assessed. The study was conducted in 2002-2003. Dietary intake was assessed in the group of 850 people (502 women and 348 men) by using 24-hour recall method. An average daily food ration (DFR) for women had an inadequate energy value as well as insufficient total content of carbohydrates, dietary fibre, mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids, K, Ca, Fe, Zn, Cu, vitamins B1, B6 and niacin. The average DFR for men had an inadequate amounts of: energy, total carbohydrates, dietary fibre, mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids, Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu and vitamins: B1, B2. Average DFRs, both for women and men, were characterised by excessive atherogenic key scores. The inadequate contents of dietary fibre, mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids as well as excessive intake of saturated fatty acids and too high energy value provided by fats in DFRs of both investigated groups can result in elevated incidence of cardiovascular diseases among the studied population.
