Ready to use infant food, namely 5 types of fruit juices, 5 types of fruit desserts, 5 types of vegetable - meat soups and 5 types of dinner vegetable - meat and vegetable - fish meals, was investigated by using the flame AAS towards the magnesium content. The average levels of the magnesium were respectively; for the juices 43.1 mg/kg, for the desserts 48.3 mg/kg, for the soups 85.6 mg/kg, for the dinner meals 84.6 mg/kg. Consumption of a single unit pack of all the 4 types of food products may cover 75% of the recommended daily magnesium intake.
