The effect of CaCl2 and NaCl used as diicing agents on chemical composition of soils and tree leaves of Szczecin urban area were evaluadted during the period from March to May. The excesive accumulation of sodium and calcium found in soils located nearby the streets affected the content of magnesium, potasium, phosphorus. In such soil conditions tree leaves demonstrated the excesive accumulation of sodium and chlorine and simultaneously deficiency of magnesium.
