Organic market development caused necessity to know how consumers relate to this kind of food and its quality. The aim of the study was to gain knowledge about people perception of organic food. The study was carried in Pomeranian region, respondents were asked about their perception of organic food, and importance of motives for buying organic food. The predominant motive is the health aspects, followed by the environmental friendly type of cultivation. These results correspond to other studies carried in Poland and other countries.
