Metodą absorpcyjnej spektrometrii atomowej oznaczono zawartości cynku, żelaza miedzi kadmu i ołowiu w 116 próbkach miodów najczęściej spotykanych odmian, pochodzących z różnych rejonów Polski (Pomorza, Śląska, Kujaw, Lubelszczyzny Małopolski i Wielkopolski.

The aim of this study was to investigate content of some trace metals in bee honeys. Contents of Cd, Pb, Zn, Cu and Fe in honey samples were determined. The material tested were 116 honey samples coming from different regions of Poland. Concentrations of lead, cadmium, zinc, copper and iron were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (ASA), after the mineralization in microwave oven MARS 5X. The average values for cadmium, lead, zinc, iron and copper were 0,113; 1,382; 11,16; 1,97; and 2,3 mg/kg respectively. Level of Cd 95% of samples exceed the limit stated by Polish regulation - 0,003 mg/kg. The content of lead in 30% of samples and content of zinc in 15% of samples exceed the permissible limits. The determined values were few times higher than those reported by others authors. Such high results may be caused by using a new way of mineralization. The content of Cd and Pb in honeys coming from West Silesia region (steelworks area) were few times higher than in other. More trace metals were found in dark honeys: heather honeys and mix honeydew-nectar honeys.
